Mama, tell me a Story
Bedtime is one of the best times to connect with my children. Something about the threat of having to sleep, the lack of other sources of entertainment, and the coziness of a pjs that makes bedtime ideal. During that time they get to snuggle up close and listen to a good book.
This silly book was born out of bedtime— my daughter asked for a story, and I made this one up for her. Those moments of giggles and connection are where most of my storybooks find their genesis. Luckily my kids are my best critics, so they help me find the best stories to put onto the page. These are the books that I develop into storybooks that they request on repeat.
I hope you and your kids enjoy this free book. You will meet a friendly dog named Buddy Bones. The end of the book offers conversation starters. You can choose one of three sets of questions to chat with your little one about the themes found in the story. It’s a moment to think together, and allow your little own to share their heart.
